TripAdvisor Review of the Andrew Morris House Bed and Breakfast
Posted:Â July 6, 2026
From:Â DallasDad2016
One of the things I enjoy most about reading guest reviews is discovering what guests remember most about their stay. Sometimes it's breakfast. Sometimes it's the history of the home. Every now and then it's something completely unexpected.
Recently, a guest from Dallas stayed in our Henry Room while enjoying what he described as a "work-cation." He needed a quiet place to work, dependable Wi-Fi, and a comfortable place to relax after the workday ended. When I finished reading his review, two simple words stood out.

"Top notch."
As I continued reading, I realized those words weren't describing just one thing. They reflected his entire experience.
He appreciated the easy online reservation process, contactless check-in, the spacious Henry Room, and our quiet neighborhood. He even mentioned the grab bar in the bathroom, noting that the room was senior-friendly. Details like that may seem small, but they can make a real difference to many travelers.
One comment especially meant a great deal to me. He wrote that he felt safe throughout his stay. As an innkeeper, that's something I hope every guest experiences from the moment they arrive until it's time to head home.
He also mentioned how much he enjoyed being just a short walk from Front Street. That's one of the things I love about the Andrew Morris House. After a relaxing breakfast, many of our guests spend the day exploring the National Historic District, browsing locally owned shops, visiting museums, or enjoying one of Natchitoches' excellent restaurants before returning to the inn for a quiet evening.
To DallasDad2016, thank you for choosing the Andrew Morris House and for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. I truly appreciate your kind words, and I know Sherri will be delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay. I hope the next time your travels bring you to Natchitoches, we'll have the pleasure of welcoming you back.
