Breakfast is part of our name, but I know it can become much more than that. Over the years, I've read hundreds of guest reviews, and every now and then one reminds me that a homemade breakfast isn't just another meal—it can become one of the most memorable parts of an entire stay.

Recently, a couple celebrating their anniversary stayed with us at the Andrew Morris House. Their TripAdvisor review was brief, but one sentence immediately made me smile.

"It's the best breakfast we have had at a B&B!"

As an innkeeper, there's no better compliment than knowing something prepared with care became the memory that guests took home with them.

At the Andrew Morris House, every morning begins with a homemade two-course breakfast. While the menu changes regularly, every breakfast is thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and a great deal of care. Reviews like this remind me that the time and effort that go into every breakfast are worth it.

Whether guests are celebrating an anniversary, enjoying a weekend getaway, or simply exploring Louisiana's oldest permanent settlement, breakfast often becomes one of the memories they take home with them.

The reviewer also mentioned another feature many of our guests appreciate. The Andrew Morris House is just one block from Front Street, making it easy to enjoy the Cane River, locally owned shops, museums, and many of Natchitoches' excellent restaurants—all within walking distance of the inn.
